One day after Jeremy returned to Los Angeles, California, from filming his movie “Soul Surfer“, Mark took pictures of him with some gifts the members from the official message board sent. The gift sent from Alix includes messages that we sent her to include in her book.

Eight new on-set pictures from “Death and Cremation“. Three feature Jeremy with his father Gary Sumpter. At the Post Production House in Los Angeles, Jeremy and Gary were over to watch some scenes that were cut together at that time. Ken Hedrick, executive producer for the film gave us some insight on Jeremy’s involvement not only in front of the camera, but with other areas of the production and editing process: “Jeremy showed his dad his scenes and explained stuff about what it was like to film a certain scene or something funny or interesting that happened. He’s a great story teller.”

Jeremy’s half brother Owen Stanley was also part of this film. He plays a police officer. When Ken meet Owen on the first day of filming, Owen did an impersonation of the late Heath Ledger’s last character ‘The Joker’ from a scene where the Joker tells how he got his permanent smile. The only thing missing, Ken said, “was the Hair and Make Up, other than that, his impression was dead on perfect. He can do just about anyone. I love when he does impressions of Christopher Walken.”

In closing here is what Ken said about Jeremy and filming the thriller: Jeremy loved that this film was shot, almost guerilla style. It was down and dirty, like the way films used to be shot in the beginning. He loved that it was a real grass roots filming and he said that he “feels this is (his) best work yet, even better than Peter Pan”. The world loves Jeremy Sumpter for Peter Pan. This was definitely a different character for him. The first day I saw him on location, he said to me, “I dyed my hair black. I have it in my contract that I don’t ever have to dye my hair, but I loved this part so much, that I went ahead and dyed it”.

The cast and crew take a break from filming “Soul Surfer” Thursday, March 4, due to heavy showers that interrupted the what was suppose to be a summer setting set. Jeremy and other cast members take the time to meet and take photos the locals on the one-day filming on the North Shore.

Also on hand for the Thursday filming, actress Anna Sophia Robb, who plays Bethany in the film, Lorraine Nicholson, who plays Alana Blanchard in the movie, and Jeremy Sumpter, cast as Byron Blanchard in the flick, took advantage of the break to get into more comfortable attire after huddling in rain gear during the squall. Inside Look of “Calvin Marshall” has another episode which features Jeremy. This episode is about the first day of filming in southern Oregon. You can see Jeremy’s first appearance in his white puffy jacket. It was at least 25 degrees outside. The cast and crew get familiar with each other by tossing a nerf football around. Jeremy is no newbie to playing football.
