Basic and Common Skateboard Tricks For Beginners by delia grace green
One of the popular activities today which are loved by people from all age brackets is Skateboarding. From children to adults, it has been enjoyed as a recreational activity. Like other sports, skateboard games are also done to bring out the best in every individual during the competition. The action and thrill that you will experience in this kind of activity makes you want to try out more.
With the right equipment and safety gear, you are sure to have a whole lot of fun. You can perform a lot of tricks just like what you see on Skateboard Videos as long as you are in the right zone and you are wearing the right gears. If you are still a beginner in this kind of sport, you must orient yourself with the different and commonly performed stunts by skateboarders.
Usually, the names of the skateboard tricks are named after the skateboarder who originally performed and discovered it. One of the stunt that you can do with your board is the Ollie named after Allan Ollie Gelfand. All you need to do is lift your whole board without using your hands. Today, there are a lot of variations of how this is done but the concept is the same.
Another skateboarding technique is the kickflip. This trick can be done starting with Ollie where the whole board is lifted. After that, with great timing, the front part of the board is kicked so that it will spin at least once before you will land on the ground and continue skating on the area. With constant practice you can master this kind of trick.
You can have different variations or a combination of the different skateboard tricks. The shove-it for instance is done by making a short jump and pushing the board to the side so that it will turn 180 degrees. This stunt can be varied when you combine and start your stunt with Ollie followed by the shove-it and it is commonly called as pop shove-it.
The skateboarding stunts are just like that for snowboarding. The main difference is the area where it is done. The Indy grab is performed by holding the board using the backhand once on the air and then goes down on the ground safely. You will notice that it is mostly done when doing the activity on ramps. Professionals even modified it by turning their body around.
Lastly, skateboarders also love to make some stunts on the street or places where there are railings and benches. The grind is a trick wherein you will be sliding your skateboard on the edge of the railing or bench. You must be careful when doing this stunt. Make sure that you are equipped with your skateboarding safety gears to protect your head, knees and elbows from possible falls and injury.
These are the common tricks that you will see on skateboard games and videos. Professionals can perform different variations and awesome stunts but as a beginner like you, start with the basics.
You can watch the fun and thrill of skateboard games wherein professional skateboarders compete and show off their skills and talents on this kind of sport. Learn more about this activity at http://skateboardzone.org/.
